Let us all just pray that
like most politicians he will not keep any of his election promises. Otherwise as
the sandwich board placards that I remember from my childhood used to read; The
End is Nigh!
We may step aside from our
thoughts and say, ‘Well it doesn’t matter what we think because it is none of
our business, it is only the business of the American people’, but sadly I
think it will become our business in many ways.
Gone now is the most
respectable family I can remember that lived in the White House. Nice people
who knew how to behave in public, nicely brought up people who were never rude
or insulting God help America
and God help the world.
My hopes are that he will
get reined back by advisors from the constant whirl of ugly insults that are
rapid fired out of his mouth, and that the style gurus give him a miracle
makeover to soften his ridiculous appearance, otherwise how will visitors to
the White House begin to take him seriously.
Let’s hope he tones down the
aggression now that he has a large part of his plan completed, but it is not
over yet and we must all hope that he will not drag his country into more
conflict as he claims he will. There have surely been enough body bags
containing brave young men and women from battle. Replacing the body bag for an
elegant casket does not make the soldiers and marines less dead when they
returned to the USA
for a formal tribute.
